    Default EGR valve

Just a quick one for those who have cleaned there EGR valve.

    CDTi 150 '06' plate.

Will I get a dash warning light come up if I disconnect then reconnect it.

Have read on these forums others have had the light which some say goes out after a few starts, is this true?

If reconnected, the light will go out.

just remember to plug it back in before you start it, or you'll end up with the spanner light when the ignition is on..

Same with me, I've done it (and the boost sensor) twice without issue. The second time (about 8k miles ago), I also replaced the valve/manifold gasket with the Fiat restricted one without any issue. Time to remove the boost sensor again to see how clean it is.

    Thanks for the replies.

Done my boost sensor, wasn't too bad.

Also I think the EGR valve may have been renewed before I bought it last year.
It looks cleaner than the rest of the engine, so hoping it's not too bad, seems a bit down on power when pulling away.

You just need the larger square one for the 150 CDTi, the one that goes between the valve and inlet manifold mount point.

If you get the latest one from Fiat, you get a compound gasket with sealing material round the outer edges of both sides of the restrictor plate so it's a one piece part.
