Default 2.2 DTi spanner light and limp mode only at motorway speed

    Hi guys.

Got a bit of a problem with the car, at motorway speeds it keeps kicking into limp home mode. It did it 4 times in a 20 mile run yesterday evening. I can't think of what it is. The boost sensor was cleaned the same day by Drinky (checked the plug too after the second time it went) so I doubt it's that. The strange thing is though if I cane it through the gears hard, it doesn't happen. It only happens when the car is cruising at motorway speeds.

    Any ideas? Bit stumped.

    Cheers.

I was experiencing the same, still did it (though not as often) after I replaced all the vacuum tubes with silicone.
Symptoms were stopped by taking out the boost sensor and cleaning it again. I've actually just replaced it today. I was using carb cleaner on it and I'm not sure if it was too harsh - it doesn't seem to have been the same since.
Was getting "boost pressure implausible" error codes.

I'll try remember to check back if this fixes properly.

Got a knackered pipe that has been well wrapped up but I haven't checked the vac hoses yet.

EGR will get a clean when I check over the vac pipes.

    Cheers guys.

I've still got this but only when going up a hill at 65mph and labour the engine then it goes into limp home mode. My vac and intercooler hoses have been done. I was told on the forum to try adjusting the Turbo Actuator rod as it may be under/over boosting but havent got around to doing it yet. I just tend to change down and give it some welly when going up the hills and it doesnt do it.
