Vectra turbo vs Renault clio Sport......not happy!

Anyone had any experience with these things? There like a rocket!

Had some kid in a Renault clio sport decide to undercut me on the way home from work then pull in infront of me and repetedly brake and accellerate away from me, ( the typical boy racer nob head driver)

Anyway decided to give him a run for his money at the next set of lights (staying well under the speed limit by the way

) And he slowly but surely kept pulling away! I wasn't happy to say the least

Got home and did abit of research on them and they seem to run at nearly 200bhp standard and weigh only 1050KG!

Thinking of buying the missus one for her next car after seening this thing shift so wondering if anyones had any experience with them? I know there french and properbly crap to drive but could be good fun

Think its fair to say the 2.0T could be going in for a re-map very soon

we had one traded in at work a few weeks ago and tbh it is proably one of the only Renaults ide own, not cos of the power but cos the seat was perfect for me lol but yh they are ruddy quick but some people say they aint as nice to drive as a corsa vxr

They are defo pocket rockets. Test drove one at a track day when renault first released them here.

Although If I had the money I'd still go the Megane.

Having raced one in my mapped 2.0T down a sliproad and onto the motorway I was just with him till he ran out of revs then I carried on going

That was the 182bhp 2005 plate. The newer 200bhp ones would prob pull away from a 2.0T aswell!

A new Clio 197 will whip the standard veccy all day.

Tbh I don't think a remap will help to greatly 0-60 but will help higher up as they are like the civic type r and have naff all torque.

I like picking on golf gtd's at the moment lol

I'm the complete (Sad) opposite... every drive to work is spent glancing in the mirror waiting for one of the lads to turn up in an Astra VXR/Focus ST/Focus RS/Octavia VRS so I can play lol
