    Default help/advice cdti

    hi,
I am selling my cdti 150 design and getting a cdti Sri.
Now i want the 3.0 v6 but am also looking at 120 cdti sri, can people please tell me the difference between the 150 cdti and 120 cdti?

Also what are the perfromance figures as so many sites differ?

    Thanks
    Nick

Is it right 120 does not have swirl flap issues
Also would a re mapped 120 be as quick as a standard 150

    Thanks

The 120 is an 8v engine, (the 150 is a 16v) - less power / torque but slightly better mpg. The 120 doesn't have the swirl flap issues but all cars do have their niggles.

The 120 SRi will have the same spec as a 150 SRi - as would the 3.0 V6 SRi. What more do you need to know??!!

as for the performance figures the variations are caused by the quoted figures for facelift vehicles being slower than for pre-facelift

The later 120 & 150s are both 16v. My wifes astra 1.9 cdti 120 is a 16v as ive been told it can take the same EDS remap as mine.....

Its just different state of tune...

Hope not, the 3.0 V6 CDTI has larger brakes and ESP-plus
The tyres are also different, XL are fitted as a recommendation (but not legall required)
The alternator is also of a higher rating as is the battery

Performance is where the biggest difference is
The 1.9 capable of up to 130mph, the 3.0 of 140mph
0-60 of at least 9 seconds, compared to just over 8 seconds
The 30-50 is where things are different, between 6 and 9 seconds, compared to less than 5.5 seconds
However with that performance comes wear and tear, lots of it...
