Just wondering how many litres (roughly) would be left in the tank when the needle hits the first red mark?

Not sure if it makes any difference but my car is a SRi 2.0T 55 plate.

Sorry do you mean 13?? Or is that how many miles you get when the needle hits the first red mark?

If I fill up when I'm on the red mark, I can only get 50 litres in leaving me over 100 miles on the red. Thats your best way, fill up to the brim from the first red. Litres in deducted from 61 will give you the answer

correct,=13.4 galls,, I work each mark to be aprox 1.67 galls, I have only done 40 miles when it gets to the red though, but it only took 57 ltrs to fill it so still had 4 ltrs in.

And don't let go into the red too far as I've heard the Vectra's fuel tank is virtually empty at this point, and doesn't have that 'reserve' gallon.

I know a few have had the needle in the red a bit and the trip telling them they had 20miles or so, car conked out.
