    Angry supermarket car parks

was in the local tesco supermarket and during yesterdays gales some idiot abandoned their trolly, before i could get to it the blasted thing took off and whacked several cars. now the thing is it must have been a car driver who dumped the trolly and unless tesco employs someone to follow everyone and put the trolly back its up to the user to make sure its safely put back i would have thought, if it had have been my car it hit and i saw the person responsable i think a few strong words would have been exchanged. anyhoo sorry for the rant it makes me mad to see property damaged because of pure laziness

If you're trying to off-load her, you'll have to tell us what else she's good at... just jumping in front of cars isn't enough.

In Morrissons, at least here in Malvern, one has to put a £1.00 coin in to retrieve a trolley from one of the trolley stores. It has to be returned to the trolley store and slid neatly into the back of the trolley in front so the release key on the one in front can be plugged into the one returned to get the coin back. Stops the abandoned trolley problem. I'm surprised Tesco haven't adopted a similar system.

Al I need to make sure then is that in a full car park, I don't park next to or opposite someone who has reversed into the space.

My front passenger door got trollied a couple of weeks ago in a Tesco carpark. Obviously parking in the disabled bays (yes, had a blue badge on display), still hasn't got a wide enough gap that some clumsy numpties need to fit a trolley through.

First door ding in over 7 years, btw. Damn annoying that some people have no respect for other people's property.

Several years ago there was a woman loading the panniers of her bicycle from her trolley. She didn't notice the trolley rolling away and hitting the front bumper of my dads car.
"Oi!" I shout. "watch what you're doing".
"Its only a car" she replies.
"in that case you won't mind if I kick in the front wheel of your bicycle and buckle it then, after all it's only a bicycle".
Soon made her see my way of thinking.

Don't get this? Surely its better to reverse into a space, as with your front wheels, well, at front,(at road end of space) the car is much better able to manoever out of the space. When people drive into a space, they have to reverse virtually straight backwards, with very poor visibility, before they can put any lock on steering wheel. Is it your experience that people driving straight out of their space(having had forethought to reverse into it) are more likely to clip your car? Have I missed something? I thought I was being sensible!

When parking in a supermarket I try my best to get a space next to sometin like a smart new Audi or a car that looks very well looked after. My thinking is they are careful with there mOtors and have a little more respect for others as well. I know this won't always be the case but so far seems to have saved mefrom any trolly rash or door dunts. But sure my time will come when so boy racer with his 1 litre corsa and his dustbin exhaust gets jelous
