    Default Super Ants

Every spring we always get a few ants in our house and they disapear just before summer arrives ...

    maybe it's a hibernation / timing thing ..

we put the usual traps / sticky tapes out , but they are clever little blighters ...

they normally are on the ground ..

i saw three on top of the shelf the other day ( five foot high ) where we had a sugar dummy , like the ones at the fairground ..

it got me thinking ,,,,,, if they sensed food that high ,

that's like me smelling a Mars bar at the top of a sky scraper , when i'm on the ground ...

Well that's some of the weird stuff that fills my mind ..

what are your thoughts or knowledge ...

or i might get some ... WHO CARES ...

    Don't be silly.

On Mars they just call it beer, not Mars beer, just like we don't call it "Earth beer".

Silly me. So why did the bloke from Mars whom I was talking to the other day call it Earth beer? I thought it was because he was from Mars and his beer from back home (Mars Beer) had a different gravity giving a smoother taste! I don't know how else he was going to distinguish between the two.
    Why call Fosters Australian beer?

    my thoughts...

if we take a rough guesstimate at the height of an average ant - 2mm? and calculate that 5ft equates to 1524 mm, then we can quickly derive that the mars bar sat at a point roughly 762 times higher than the ant.

say the average human is 6ft, or 1828mm, then multiply that by 762 and we get something in the region of 1392936mm or about 13939m. the tallest building currently standing is the Burj Khalifa (no prizes for guessing where!) @ 828m. therefore we would need to build a skyscraper another 13101m higher to get the equivalent height at which our intended 'mars bar' would need to sit! I'm sure my calculations are all dog **** though.

i can't be bothered to try and work out the increased dimensions of the mars bar. i'm guessing it would be the size of a supertanker lol!

... and yes i am at work.

    i'll get my coat
