    Default Tech 2 question.

Does only vauxhall have it or can I buy it if so how much and where from?
I ask as I'm looking into elecs in the back and a few other mods.
    Cheers neil

Probably screw your car up, so you would end up going to a Vx garage to get it sorted correctly.

Unless you are willing to spend big bucks for genuine diagnostic/programming tools, then IMO you're playing with fire.

I know quite a few members have the ebay version including me and it works fine.
Does not do what the full Tech 2 does but its still very useful. I don't think I have heard any members say that it has screwed up their car unless someone says different. TBH the Dealers can do a good job of screwing your ECU as many members on here will agree with

The ebay ones are useful if you know the basics and technical terms or if you have worked in a garage environment. There has been a handful of people at least that have came on here and have "pressed things" just to see what it does and caboom they have wiped coding from ecu's, it can be dangerous and expensive in the wrong hands. Then there is the dodgy cracked versions on ebay which will let you try and program things and let you wipe the old settings get to the stage of coding and give you an error code because theres a corrupt file for example.

It all leads to a dead car which needs recovered to a dealers for things to get re-programmed.
