    Default Speaker wiring question

Just a quick query, I've hunted through the forums and not found the info i'm after....

Can anyone tell me how the stock speakers are wired up? Do they have a crossoverin the car somewhere before 2 seperate feeds go to mid unite and tweeter? or does the 1 feed go into the door and then splt to thhe md unit and tweeter?

The tweeters have capacitors fitted to them for the HPF, so all the wires are full range.

There's two seperate feeds to each door.

In mine the tweeter is joined to the mid in the door loom. I stripped the loom to test this when I wanted to bi-amp!

Hmm, you may be right, I'm sure mine had two seperate feeds, in fact I thought there was two pairs of each speaker cables coming out of the back of the head unit on mine, but to be honest, I don't remember for certain, so will stand corrected on it. I don't pay a huge amount of attention to it because the first thing I do is rip it all out and run new cables and speakers to a new head unit

Thats the same as mine, other wise if they all had there own wires from head unit there would be 18 wires for all the speakers and tweeters.
