Default Coolant leak issuse still here

I keep having this problem every now and then of loosing coolant,I can see coolant underneath the c dripping from around the rear o0f the engine of the monts what I think are fro the gearbox and its all wet around there.I have fitted a new cap on header tank but it still keeps loosing it every now and then.I found some coolant dripping from the pipe for the heater matrix which has the heat shroud on it but I have taken the pipe off and can see no spilts in the pipe at all and put it back on without the heat shroud while
I have even taken the car for a good run to my mums today and still no leaks. This is an intermitent thing but has happened 3 times on me now.Im going to try a new pipe but not sure what else this could be.Someone suggested on here it could be header tank but surley if there was a split in any pipes or tank I would see them leak after a good run out and upto full temp with fans kicking in.Im wondering if the thermostat is sticking now and then so gonna change that as well. Also can anyone tell me if when I squeeze the large pipe from the thermostat while its cold the air should be coming out of the little release nipple at the back of the header tank as I can hear it release air out on every squeeze when cold, correct me if Im wrong but I thought it should only let air out when the valve in the cap opens due to too much pressure in the system and thats why it has o rings on to seal the cap tight. If so may be new header tank on the way as well.

It'll be the header tank. The seam in the middle may be weeping at the back. Or, the bottom of it where the pipe goes on

New header tank only £20 at dealers

Changed mine, and no more leaks

I thought this as you sugested this before but its dry as a bone, only place I could see where it was dripping was this pipe to the heater matrix but took shroud off and went for a good run and guess what no leaks again, its doing my head in now a bi as it seems to stop then all of a sudden you got a leak agai. I,might just get new tank and pipe and throw new thermostat in at same time as its still on original one and hopefully thats the end of it.
