Can anybody identify this ???

can anybody identify this pipe,,,it was laying loose under my airbox,,,,,so i pushed it back into the hole in the base of the airbox which i think is for the pipe,,, could this be the cause of me excessive fuel consumption??

My airbox doesn't have a hole for this to let air in. Have you followed where the pipe comes from?

My airbox has this too. It looks like some sort of breather, but can't seem to see where it leads to...

Mine to was disconnected, so I reconnected it back up. Noticed no difference in running or fuel consumption. (2.2 DTi)

i think it could be a breather pipe too..it looks like its running down to the intercooler,,,i could be wrong tho

its the water outlet pipe from the air filter...

It to drain any water that my get into the airbox through the intake pipe

Gazza, noticed in your signature you have a CDTi 150? My missus has the same car, and her's has not got it either. Think it's only the old DTi's that have it?

Realised mine does have the hole but the pipe isn't there. Colly's is a CDTI 150 too.

Think it may have may have been a cheap airbox mod.
