    Unhappy Clutch Rattle / DMF??

I've got a rattle that appears at the biting point of the clutch when the car is idling/neutral on my SRi 1.9CDTi 150. You can 'feel' it through the pedal and it is quite noticeable outside the car (when I wind down the windows).

I suspect this might be the dreaded DMF?? I've read quite a few threads on this and it seams to be a common symptom. However, quite a lot of people have stated they have had this for some time without any other problems.

So if it is the DMF is it OK to just put up with it until it fails?? or am I risking worse damage?

My missus' 1.9CDTi 150's DMF had a rattle for 30k miles. Didn't fail, but I got it changed anyway. If you get it done, do the clutch as well, while the 'box is off.

I'm sure there's someone on here mentioned their DMF has been rattling for over 90k miles now.....

If it's just started rattling, I'm pretty sure you'll be OK for a few miles yet

Cheers lads, I'm gonna take the risk that it might last until I get rid of it in a few years time.
