I do like the idea of removing the badge on the back - though not sure it will look too bland with nothing there.
I might leave the 1.9 CDTI badge on to make it less bland - such a large space of blank metal.

its frustrating i have the vxr rear insert and front lip spoiler in the garage, still waiting to be sprayed

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the spoiler to be sprayed? I've been phoning round and am getting silly prices quoted at me.
