Uhh, so you're blaming the car for your failure to keep it filled with the stuff it needs to run...?

    Cheers Jezzy!

And yes i am.....after two turns lasting about 15-20 secs each what sort of motor should burn out after then? I even left it 30 seconds in between so as this wouldn't happen!

Just missed the EuroCarParts as I had to walk back down to the car and they are closed now but how much will this be?

With a little one due on Friday this next week coming this is all I need

You gotta take most of the blame on this one fella.

Can understand you're a bit peeved at the moment, but cant blame running out of fuel the cars fault me old mukka.

Deep breath and relax.... alls not lost, and at least you know what the problem is.

Good luck with a cheap starter motor but as the guys said this ones your own fault, if the fuel gauge didnt work you could blame the car.

I admit a starter motor should last longer than that, much much longer in fact, but it's an old bit of kit now. If it's been on the car since it was built, then it's had a fair few starts going through it...

I think the fact that the car has ran out of fuel, starter motor has given up and it's the weekend meaning it's impossible to rectify the situation until Monday, I think Wingz has learned a lesson. But then if you haven't driven the car with the fuel guage in the red, then you can say 'it's driver error' otherwise he's only human.

Wingz you're been caught out by a double whammy here. Hope it gets sorted before Frayday, and as I said no more playing chicken with the fuel guage now. I still can because I haven't been caught out like this yet.

Plus, 1.9 CDTi's are self-bleeding. No such luck with the DTi's....

Euro car parts list 3. £342 being the dearest and £170 the cheapest. The cheapest however doesn't seem available. online anyway.
