    Default firefox question

downloaded and installed firefox the other day just to see if it is as good as everybody says. while i think that it is ok is there a reason it wont let me use the back button on my mouse to back-page, i have to click on the back arrow at top left of screen. thank you in advance for any help. PS i dont think IE6 is that bad, ihave homepage set to google with google toolbar with built-in popup blocker and never have any probs

I'm sure you can program your mouse buttons on a per application basis.....check your mouse software.....

I get the back option when I right click on my mouse. When you say "it wont let me use the back button on my mouse to back-page" do you have a buttom that is setup to go back in a browser? If so, as above, you may need to do some reprogramming?

As for Firefox, IMO waay better than IE. More secure, tabbed browsing is great plus a number of other features. I only use IE now if I visit a page where they haven't programmed properly and it needs IE to view certain bits.

your problem is probably becuase your mouse software doesn't support the application (it may have problems with the way firefox uses tabbed browsing - so having multiple windows within window) i would point at your mouse being the problem instead of firefox.

i have used firefox for god knows how long now, and it is sooo much better.
i think even microsoft have realised this, as they have now implemented changes into IE7 like firefox has had since the beginning (tabbed browsing, search box in toolbar etc)
