Removing handbrake button

Is it possible to do this? I switched most of my SRi's silver trims for chrome whn I put my leather interior in (door cards had chrome handles so I wanted it all to match) so gear shift surround, cupholders etc..

Was in the local breakers yard this afternoon and spotted the handbrake assembly and handbrake handle with chrome button, just wondering what work would be involved to remove the button and get it into my car

yep guys will swap but only if you get it off without marking it.. I chickened out when it seemed to want to stay put.. lol
