60 quid actually isnt a bad price in my opinion... I think there's cheaper meet & greet parking sevices, but who knows where they take your car whilst you're away, or how often they use it for jollies...

i always have paid £40 at gatwick for a week (most recently last week), £60 sounds a bit steep for a lesser airport as such, admitedly gatwick charge 11.50 per 24hrs if you just turn up!

Make sure you've got a GPS tracker in your car, so you can see your vehicle being driven all over Essex by the parking company.

Never seen car park staff driving the cars myself, but I can recommend the Cobratak 5 (Cat 5) tracker with web access if it helps, it's not cheap at £699 fitted and £245 subscription per year or a gotek7 Sniper, for around £250, It is PAYG though

I've used that long stay - it's reputable, all those official car parks you park and keep the keys so there's no funny business. Automatic number plate recognition makes entry and exit painless.

If you book early it's not much more for the nearer 'mid-stay' which has more frequent buses but I think it's worth the extra (again, if you book early enough) to go for the short stay so there's no waiting for a bus when you get back.

Most carparks now write down your milaeage and leave you a carbon copy. Some don't even take your keys and my car have never been hot wired or even a fraction of a mile put on it.
I normally pay about £28 for 8 days at Manchester. Have paid £60-£70 for a night in a hotel and 8 days parking at Gatwick. So £60 in my opinion is way to much.
