    Default advise on car scratches/chips etc

    hi there
    my car has a number of light scratches, 1 thats quite deep and white, some unloading scuffs on bumper, stone chips on front bumper.i brought some tcut scratch remover but it doesnt seen to work so im after some advice please.

    !. Clay. i have never used this but will this get rid of scratches? i know it has some marks from the miles shes coverd so would benifit from this.

    2. machine. buy a polish machine again this is something i have not done but would this help if so i would need to know makes of machine/polishes etc?

    3. chips away. take her to chips away and get them to do the work?

    like most i dont have loads of spare money but i like my car to look nice, dont get me wrong when shes clean shes looks great but the marks and the deep 1" scratch bug me.

    any other thoughts tips would be welcomed.

    clay won't get rid of scratches, its for remove particles from the paintwork like tar etc

    A DA polisher will help get rid of swirl marks. It would depend if they are swirls or scratches. I think the rule of thumb is if it is rough when you run your finger nail over it, its too deep?

    What you're describing would need Chips Away then likely a machine polish.

    Yep, from what you describe, chips away. machine polish won't work
