    Default Upgrading display

    Few questions please help before I jump in feet first lol


    I have a 2005 vectra c sxi which has the basic clock display and I'd like to upgrade to something which shows mpg ?

    Am I right in thinking I need sri display,stalk and tech 2 ?

    I'm sure mine is classed as full canbus,scroll wheels on steering wheel ?

    Can I only fit a full canbus screen ? or are they all the same ?

    OK.. The CD30 will give you BC funtions for MPG. What you need is a TID or GID to replace your clock. The TID (or GID) must be divorced (un-programmed) from the donor car. This will then need to me married (programmed) into your own car which will require a Tech2 session and will also require your car pass. Once married you can enable the BC functions via Tech2 (car pass not required for this). If for some reason the TID (or GID) was NOT divorced from the donor vehicle then this can be done after installation but will require the car pass of the donor vehicle.

    A slightly easier route might be to buy an already married/paired set of CD30 & TID (or GID) off eBay which will fit without Tech2. Then sell your old CD30

    If I fit a married/paired set would it need to come from a diesel if fitting to a diesel and same for petrol to ensure MPG/Range are calibrated correctly due to different fuel flow rates??
