Default Bumper on SRI 2008 Not fitted correctly

    Hi All,

My bumper was recently removed to access a fog light, the bumper has been fitted back to the car, but is not fitted right on the passenger side.
Please see pics below, it is sitting about 2mm away from where it should be:

I then pulled the bumper out slightly and see a slot where i think the bumper should be hooked onto the car, does anyone know how to fit this correctly or know what should go in the slot that is highlighted in red on the picture beneath?

I think what needs to be done is that once the bumper is fitted, like now, we need to put our arm up underneath and put some sort of plastic through the slot highlighted in red, which should go through a slot on inside of the wing, this should ensure bumper is pulled in tight...
Not sure if this is how the bumper is supposed to be connected, but just my idea from looking at this slot.

looks like the bumper clip has gone under the body clip.. try lifting the bumper as you put it back in.

remove the torx scres @ the end of the bumper corner (in the wing liner) there is an adjustable bumper bracket @ the end of the wing make sure thats pushed forward push the bumper onto it then tighten the torx screws back up, the screws pull the bumper into place

although it may be that the lugs on the bumper have been damaged at some point

I sometimes just fold it in a bit at the corners by hand before refitting it just to give it that bit of extra fit.

Ok great, are these the 2 x Torx 25 screws in the wheel arch liner?
I removed these earlier and pulled the liner to one side but couldnt get much access to that far in the wing as its right near the headlight. Had the wheel on opposite lock but was still very tight. Does the bumper need to come off again or can this just be adjusted by removing wheel arch liner? cheers
