Hi, My DMF has rattled for the last 10k miles and doesnt seem to get any worse. I get my other half to drive it sometimes so that she can have a listen to see if the noise has changed but it just stays the same. It will probably go at some point but it doesnt worry me anymore. Hope this helps

Based on mine, I think you're safe - 97k mines has been rattling for now.

If Gazza4 says that his DMF has lasted for 97k, then you can take it for granted that yours will.
Mine's been rattling for the past 35k miles (probably rattled with the previous owner too). Drives like the day I got it.

Not the same engine but mine rattles a little sometimes after a good thrash. It's at its worst at cold start though. Wouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse.
