    Default Tyres

Sorry if it's been asked before but what are the best suited tyres (not necessarily the dearest) for the Signum/Vectra.

I've got Goodyear NCTS on at the moment 215/50/17 and though seem ok wear wise they have seemed to tramline a little, fronts that is.

Now the fronts need replacing and have been quoted for Vredestein Cento's as a replacement. What are these like good, avoid?

What's out there that would suit the Signum ok @ around £100 a corner as a rough guide.

If you wish to spend £100 a corner then the world is your oyster, however for just over half that you can get a very very good tyre indeed that plenty on the board will happily atest to. Called Neuton NT5000 it is an exceptional tyre on the Vectra, do a search

Get rid of the NCT ditch finders for a start.

I can highly recommend Uniroyal Rainsport2's. Best tyres I've ever had.

Also, change from the size 215/50/17 to the alternate size of 225/45/17 because there is more choice available and thus cheaper.

Ive recently had kumho KU39's fitted to the front and i cant fault them one bit!

Compared to the budget garbage i had on before and the avons i had on before that i rate these very highly imo.

Before i had these, the car was extremely twitchy going round long corners progressively, but now im filled with alot more confidence.

Reviews i read before i bought themwere also very good by the majority of people

Ive had the goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 2's on now for 1200 miles and can say they are a great tyre......Great handling in dry and excellent in the wet. Plus with the new compound used and the tread pattern ive been told they should wear well too. I changed to the 225/45/17 tyre size and to be honest I have only noticed a slight change in ride comfort but the car feels more planted so thats a good thing.

I've had 4 sets of vredistien on my last car,2.5 v6 mondeo and my 2t..couldnt fault them. Just put 2 NEUTON'S on the front and am so impressed that i bought 2 more for the rear.

Cant fault the price,24 hr delivery and service from NEO brothers.

Fitted and balanced locally for £15.

I looked at the following after comments on here and reviews:

Rainsport 2: £115 each fitted (86% on review)
Vredstein Sportac 3: £120 each fitted (81% on review)
Khumo Solus: £88 each fitted (63% on review)
Neuton NT5000: £76 each fitted (96% on review)

So on the comments here, reviews and certainly price,.. I'm getting Neutons on!!!

Fitted the 19" Neutons yesterday and although I've not done much driving on them, the little bit of "testing" I've done they definitely seem good and for the money I can't fault them.
