Absolutely PMSL at the quote I've just got from Aviva for my 06 plate Audi A4 1.9TDi. I'm 47, been driving since 1982, no convictions, no claims, ever.

When my eldest daughter passed her test two years ago, she bought her car herself but couldn't afford monthly payments for the insurance as well as car payments, so I paid her insurance off in full for the year. That cost me £845.

My youngest daughter is about to take her test and my eldest daughter is about to buy a new car, so she said she would give her little sister her old car for her 18th birthday on 1st Sept. (awfully nice of her )

Anyway, cheapest quote for youngest daughter on same car............?

    £2185 FFS

How are kids meant to get a start in life. Theres no way on this earth I can pay that for her, I have too many monthly commitments as it is without trying to pay it mointhly for her and she only brings home £220 from a part time job. I absolutely detest this country now
