CD70 and Aux in

Just been playing with the settings on my 05 full can CD70 and in the audio menu where you can adjust the SVC and TA etc there is an option to set the AUX input.

Does that mean my CD70 has the parts inside so I can just add the jack plug?

I dont remember seeing a Aux setting anywhere else (Ie to select that as the source).

If the CD70 is factory fitted then no (too old). If however you or a previous owner upgraded to a CD70 then its possible. Remove it and look om the top... what date was it made and who made it..? I think it was fitted as standard from about 2007.

Also try selecting Aux in and turning the volume right up. On mine when I did this before fitting the extra components for the aux in mod it used to 'tick'... after the aux in mod there was silence...

if you've used the cd70 update disc, then that option will show even for older units.

If you do have an older unit you'll need the hardware mod.

Might sound like a stupid question but im selling a 2005 CD70 Navi on ebay and iv had two questions that im struggling to find answers for so wondered if anyone here would know...

Does the CD70 Navi fom a Vectra C fit in a 2007 Meriva or antara ?
Apparently it was an option in the Meriva but not sure if that means it will fit.

Like the Astra it may fit but not look quite right... The Astra CD70 has a different front than the vectra CD70 as the Astra has a vertical crease down the center to fit with the interior trim styling... this may be the same for the Meriva or Antara... sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you...

Ahh right thanks for that, ill just have to say that it may or may not fit then they can make the choice to buy or not

Will take the stereo out later and have a look.

I think I looked at the hardware or software version on the screen once and it was 2004.
