Default 1.9 CDTI 120 Hesitation Judder.

At the end of my tether with this car.
    80k on the clock.

Cruising along at 1500-2500rpm ish keeping a constant speed, when i accelerate the car seems to slow for a brief second and then pick up.

I've read up loads of topics here about all the possible causes but there are no definite fixes and i don't want to star throwing money at it for things it doesn't need.

Would anyone be kind enough to share how they fixed their's?

EGR valve is new ive checked what i think are the boost pipes

What other cheap things to do? and are there any guides how to do them on the 120?

    Thanks in Advanced

When I replaced my EGR I was told that I needed a software upgrade (at vauxhall) as the new EGR's function slightly differently. There is a field remedy issued covering this. Will see if I can find the post about it, but on phone at minute. Not completely sorted mine but it is no where near as bad as it was when I first got it running ;-)

If you bear with me I'll see if I can find the post about the remedy. hopefully that may point you in the right direction

    Here you go chap:-

I still get a bit of surging when at medium throttle (you can hear the EGR open/close, almost fluttering open and closed in quick succession) which causes the car to hesitate/jerk

Hope that may help you out

Cheers for the link, I have this problem, however it has only just started doing it. How can a software update fix it???

I honestly have no clue Ginge lol.

As previously mentioned though, its not completley sorted out the surging/jerking but has made quite an improvement from how it was when the EGR was first installed

You could try cleaning the boost sensor, this can cause the problems your having.
