Default 1.9cdti 150 Servicing Help Please!!

I want to give my 1.9CDTi 150 a good service, and I mean, a really good service to try and get some more horses back. I have in mind:

    Oil & Filter Change
Air Filter Change & Hoover Out
    Fuel Filter Change
    Glow Plugs Change

Could anyone else add to list which would help in gaining more HP?

I don't want to go down the modifications road, just as far as servicing goes please!

    Thanks!!

EGR and boost sensor clean wouldn't go amiss.

Oh and when you do the pollen filter clean all the crap out of the rain channels

Thanks, I've got a list here and adding as I go, bought it with 80,000miles on and don't really know history, oil filter was mingin when I last changed it so doubt much else has been done.

Pollen filter a good one especially as I get smelly air from vents!

Anything else that a dealer would do on a full service?

You could look at an activated charcoal filter, that will remove any smells and there are only about £5 more.
The glow plugs wouldn't be done on a service mate, save the money.
Check the operation of swirl bar. If it's done 80k then I'd be looking at the cambelt/water pump unless it's already been done.

I will have a look for the charcoal filter, real musty smell it is.

Would changing the glow plugs help in any way though?

Only if starting is sluggish or problematic. Glowplugs only work when starting the car from cold. Thye will 100%, not do anything for the running or your car once warmed up.

Only other thing that you could do (that I can think of) is drain and renew the coolant for the radiator and intercooler (and give the intercooler a solvent flush to ensure its clear)
