    Default Old bike fan but...

I spent my first years as a motorist on motorcycles, and generally am biker friendly, watch out for them give them space - listen for the souns as rider opens one up. Got a bit peeved coming back fron Demon Tweeks meet this afternoon. Saw a large group of bikes coming up as I neared the A41 dual carriageway stretch between Higher Heath and Tern Hill, let four go, last three, in V formation, way behind, so I followed lead bikes. Over Tern Hill and past 40mph stretch, biker in front of me kept slowing 60 - 40mph and checking his mirrors. The other 3 were still way behind, apparently unable to catch up. I thought, if he was trying to stay with them, he. swing off or let me past, but everytime we got somewhere I could pass, he opened up. Then, when I had no chance of passing, back we'd go, to 40mph. It was as if he wanted to slow me down enough for the other 3 to come past me but they didn't seem to have the power.
Finally got a chance and went past him near the old BP garage
After a good morning/afternoon out it just made the drive back more annoying that it needed to be.

I also am an ex-motorcyclist, similar to you.
I wonder if the 3 behind were avoiding the one in front.
I too say I am biker friendly, but it so depends on the biker or motorcyclist.
The "Ride it like you Stole it" lot are a pain.
