    Default Improving black paintwork

    Hello

Whats the best way to improve the paintwork on my vec, I want to try and get rid of most of the swirl/scratch marks and just improve the look, I understand im not going to get it 100% with it being nearly 8yrs old. I managed once using AG srp then applying a coat of egp and it looked mint and was impressed with it but after about 4 or 5 weeks it was starting to look as it was before i polished it. I was looking at trying a bit of T-cut colour magic but I have heard some bad reactions to it.

I can try and get some photos but at the moment its the usual uk weather.

I've been useing megs ultimate compound to remove some of the swirls on mine, but by hand it's hard work. Had a socalled friend come out with a polisher to take some out and just made it worse. Was naehappy. So I just use megs polish followed by poorboys blackhole to cover the swirls and an amazing job it does too. Then seal it with dodo juice purple haze. But like you I would like a more permanent fix.

As timtay say's you could try Megs UC, but it will not correct it 100%, it will get rid of the smaller swirl's scratches but not the deeper one's. The only way to correct it fully is to get a machine polisher on it. However, You could use a few coats of SRP to cover it up. It will fill most of the swirls, and putting a wax on top will keep looking tip top for longer. I would also suggest re waxing every couple of weeks, to try and keep a layer of wax on top of the SRP.
