Default clutch is going! but do i need flywheel?? plzzz help.

To keep cost doin m goin to order a clutch kit from ebay for £111, but do i need a flywheel too? The car still moves but jus doesnt go up hills without over revving. If i do need a flywheel do they come in clutch kit?? My mechanic mate seems to think a flywheel is not essential if its not been slipping long. Please advise... its a petrol 1.8 16v sxi 05 reg. Thanks folks

I'd get it changed while getting clutch done might cost more now but at least you know it won't go any time soon

I didn't think the flywheel was dual mass on the 1.8's?

If not then I don't see why it should be changed.

With Gazza4 on this the 1.8 petrol should not have a DMF issue so I would go clutch only and probably do the slave.

Just spoke to garage, who said for 365 pound all in inc days labour the clutch plate, preasure plate and release bearing would be done. Do i need to get the release bearing changed?? And is that a good price?

Well i dont appear to have clutch slip just judder on take up from 1st 2nd to 3rd at around 2000 rpm, but then i didnt think something like the egr could cause such moaning or be linked to noise upon depressed clutch,

    totally baffled i am.
