Hi all I have noticed today and got my mate to follow me when I rag my car and give it beans it smokes with White smoke quite bad noticeable in mirror and my mate said it was bad everytime I take it up to 4500 rpm it smoke really bad like talc powder as my mate describes it but the. In normal driving I drive up a hill didn't go past 2000rpm and he said it was smoking bad but black smoke this has only happened the past week

Car drives fine I think it's driving even better and feels more powerful when I boot it now it's smoking so any ideas guys I need help

    Is it turbo or injectors

My dpf has been removed and removed from ecu
Egr is blanked and removes from ecu
    Inlet manifold is newish
    All mods listed below

Turbo still boosts fine and hold boost pressure throughout rev range and no probs In engine

Sounds like the Turbo seals have gone, letting in water and oil into the system

Will this effect performance then as I'm noticing no difference if anything more powerful what are the next symptoms when it degrades further like I say it's only in the high rev band when I get the White smoke

Sounds like the injectors tbh. If the turbo had went then it would be billowing out blue smoke (oil from the seals). Injector fault tend to through out black smoke (rich mixture) or grey smoke unburnt fuel finding its way into the exhaust. Could be injector(s) staying open for too long.

Does the engine shut off when you turn the ignition off? Is there any surging/over revving of its own will? if so I would say oil but oil usually leaves blue smoke not white or black.

Engine feels fine and is normal it sometimes struggles to start but apart from that there is no change apart from this bellowing White smoke only at full throttle and over 3000 rpm but if I'm at part throttle below 3000rpm there is excessive black smoke

As my mate followed me he said it's really noticeable with the White and black soot

I am worries now to what the problem is how can I diagnose te problem

There is no spilt pipes no strange noises etc she pulls like a train and turbo feels fine the only issue I have is I am gettin less mpg at the moment the past week compared to normal so I am def using more fuel

An which struggles to start is usually fueling issue or a glow plug fault, again I will say injectors, however have you changed the fuel filter?

White smoke usually indicates an internal engine water leak (white smoke can happen at only high revs if cylinder head is damaged - not turbo, as isn't watercooled on 1.9). Can be injector fault, but the symptomatic smoke is usually grey in colour, although can be white-ish. Is it using water? Even a little bit?

Could also be DPF removal/remap software gone wrong (not unknown).

One other thing is that blanking the EGR valve does tend to heat up the exhaust valves a lot more, since the exhaust gases are no longer cooling the combustion temperatures at part throttle or on the over-run. I would check for wear in the turbo too.

Thanks guys just been out checked water coolant and all is fine not used a drop of water oil is good too. I know she needs a service and a fuel filter changed but I started her up and revved her on the drive and as soon as you back off after revving there is a puff off blue/White smoke happens everytime I rev upto 3000rpm then back off the throttle ie on the over run the blue/White smoke puffs out. And happens when I boot it under load too from the colour I can see it's blue/White it's not steam and it's not black either so I'm pretty convinced it's not headgasket as I would def be loosing oil or coolant.

Is there any way I can do a check on the turbo I know it's boosting fine and holding 23 psi on max boost throughout the rev range on my boost gauge. How long will it be before I start noticing more issues and what symptoms if it is the turbo

On other hands it could be injectors as above what checks can be done and what symptoms are to cone when it gets worse
