    Default Fitted Boost Gauge 2.0T

After reading Ian-Highlanders thread the other day i though i'd have a go at fitting one to my 2.0 T

This is the gauge i got ......

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It was a absolute B****** to fit, taking the best part of the day. Mainly feeding wires through the bulkhead and locating inginion lives but got there in the end

Heres a few pictures to those who are interested

Gauge is fantastic considering it only cost £20, but even with its fancy L.E.D's i still think needle gauges are best and easier to read

Yes, got the same one Ian got, it's mentioned in his thread. Suppose any pod will do though

Nice job Ben, although if it's sitting at zero with the engine running you've connected it to the wrong thing, if that's just with the ignition on then you're fine

Those pods are sodding fiddly to put together arent they lol although they do look the dogs danglies when they're in.

Yea that picture was just with the ignition on, from what i know it's running at the right values and boosts up to about 0.9 bar.

Fiddly is deffernatly an understatement lol. Had to sand the inside of the holder to get the gauge to fit aswell

Heh, I didn't have to go that far, my gauge fitted the pod fine, but I managed to over tighten the grub screw the first time round, pulling the gold threaded collar out of the pod, took ages to get it back in place and tight enough to screw into again but I love the way the rubber foot hides all the cables and mount etc, it looks really tidy and neat.

0.9 bar isn't bad, that's about 13psi, mine shows it boosting to just over 1 bar (about 14.5psi) with my stage 3 map which is spot on what the rolling road runs I've done show it doing.
