Hi all Newbie here ( Steve ) with a judder problem on the clutch

Hi all need some info regarding my Vectra 06 1.8SRi Nav, bought this from the stealers Feb 2010 all seemed ok.
Then gradually ive noticed a judder when setting off in first gear ( I honestly thought driving in my work boots was the problem and that i was being too heavy on the clutch ), so changed my footwear, same happened in my trainers so i began to think it was my control of the biting point.!!!!
Now my girlfriend notices the same - which ruled out driver error.

Well now the judder is happening more and now in gears 2 and 3 generally when im gearing down or setting off, i seem to be able to feel the judder vibrate through the gear lever and from underneath central console whilst driving. Im having to double the clutch and raise the revs to lessen the judder.

Im aware of this through looking at several posts that its a common occurance with alot of Vectra models especially the 1.8

Car now has around 40,000 miles and i wanted to know whether there is a Clutch recall fix assuming it is my clutch. I want to take it to Mr Vx tomoz armed with info to help solve this. as far as im aware ( until i check ) the 1yr sales warranty may have expired ( JUST TYPICAL ) and may have to pay for the repair.

Can't help you with the clutch I'm afraid but I'm sure someone who can will pop along soon.

Thanks Weasel for the welcome, all i need now is pointing in the right direction. I seem to be getting confused with this judder/ clutch problem.
Most seem to point to the DMF but then some seem to point to the EGR.

To be fair i may be suffering from both as the clutch has only just started to moan n judder in 2nd and 3rd when depressing during changing gear, whereas the flat spot when setting off has always been there in 1st.

Please HELP someone lol

clutch judder is a problem with the 1.8's, there was a revised clutch assembly brought out. Use the 'search' button and have a look and you'll find the threads hopefully.

Still awaiting some help on this could it be a release bearing that's gone??? Seems to have generated a slight whining noise on drive now :-(
