i have just had brand new alloys and tyres fitted onto my vectra 07 plate and there is now a big gap between the wheel and wheel arch i was told this was due to the suspension and it would eventually settle its been 24hoursnow and it still hasnt settled. any ideas on what i can do as it makes my car look a joke

there is only any real difference on suspension ride height when its replaced as it needs to settle

from what your saying you have only changed the wheels which wont affect what has already been fitted and Settled in place

as above i suspect that you have gone to a larger alloy lower profile tyre and this indeed give the affect of larger gaps

when i went from 16'6 to 18's on my last Signum it went from looking "normal" to a tractor ...the end result was i then fitted Eibach Pro's and Blistein B6's to correct the difference

If you have just fitted wheels, then there is no settling to take place. Only if springs are replaced that it would need to settle (usually takes a few weeks/ few hundred miles).
