This is my first post and plea for help!
I have a 2004 Vectra-C club 1.9 cdti with the Z19DT engine.
The car has never missed a service and has done around 105k miles.
And i mostly run it on Tesco fuel.
So far in the last 12 months i have had -
new dual mass fly wheel,
new throttle body,
new starter motor,
new glow plugs,
new spill off pipes
........and a full service (inc. fuel filter).........!!!
I even put some 'Red-X' for diesels in the other day to see if it would help my problem.
On the initial cold start of the day i wait for the glow plug light to 'come and go' and turn the key without pumping the pedal. It takes quite a few seconds before it eventually starts, and there is a small amount of smoke that puffs out from the exhaust quickly. The rest of the day is then fine with the car starting instantly and driving with no problems.
Any ideas, or is this a common problem?
My mechanical skills are quite basic, but i'll have a go at simple job myself...!
Please help before i push my car off the edge of a cliff.....
Thanks in advance for any advice!
