Default vauxhall sri cdti150 or bmw 330d

Had Vauxhall for 20 years now and been very happy. I have vectra sri cdti 150 I got it 3 years ago with 13000 miles on it now with 36ooo miles on it. But the thing in the last 12 months iv change DMF and inlet manifold as you guys now its not cheap. donít no Weather to keep the car for a bit longer but I am a bit concerned these problems my happen again.
thinking of changing to BMW 330d or 320d what are they like do they give problems like this.
mate of mine saids its BMW ant it. it dont go wrong

The BMW 2 litre diesel suffers from the inlet manifold but unlike ours the BMW eats the flap and destroys the engine

Your car has very low miles for a vectra rep's car, mine belonged to a doctor and it still had 60k on it when i bought it in october 2010 and its a september 56 reg.
You have fixed the most expensive problems on it now,so anything else won't be as expensive to fix.
Every car has it's problems, some people are lucky,i was with my vectra b 2.2 dti,i had that 3 years and only had to change the crank sensor just before i sold the car.
Well i did a few suspension bushes and servicing and mot's and tyres
Better the devil you know,i only sold it because i wanted a diesel automatic, and i my vectra b wasn't.

Sounds like the sort of thing i was after, but most had a lot more miles on for the same or more money than mine
If you are happy with the car, then keep it,if you fancy a change, then sell it
But you may find a dog of a car or it could be a peach,at least you know what your car is now the expensive work is done

Yeah but you can get the flaps removed for about £180, this then gives you piece of mind!

There is no comparison, get a 330d - but get the manual version so it doesn't have the swirl flaps and make sure you change the PCV and you're laughing. I had one before my Vectra and they are in a different league engine wise.
