    Question Bulbs for brake lights?

    Hi all

This probably going to sound really lame but what bulbs do the Vectra C rear cluster use? One of my brake lights has gone and I need to replace but I can't get in at the moment to see cause of all the junk in my boot!

If someone could let me know that'd be cool. Thanks!

It is a 21w single fillement, if my memory is correct.

Also doubles as one of the two tail lights. Canbus network runs it at a reduced voltage until the brake pedal is pressed.

Should the tail/brake light fail, the other tail light takes over the role of tail/brake light instead.

    Clever stuff this canbus network.

Straight (i.e. standard 21W single filament). Indicators are offset, reversing lights and rear foglight are also straight IIRC.

If you haven't wired up the second rear fog light then there is a spare one in there.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    oh i beg to differ

standard 12v 21w single filament bulbs are NOT offset

standard 12v 21w/5w double filament bulbs ARE offset

just checked my bulb stock in the workshop for clarification

Funny that. On my previous 04 Vectra I replaced my original rear indicator bulbs on the rear as they were on an MOT advisory, cleaned off the bits of orange that were left on them, and thought of keeping them as spares for the other rear bulbs, only to find they were offset and wouldn't fit.

I did say that only the indicator bulbs were offset.
