    Default Rolling Around

    Hi all,

What would I need to do...... to decrease body roll when cornering..... without sacrificing any 'ride quality'

I've already but the 888 Eibach springs on the car which are lowered 30mm.

I think I need a strut brace for the front and rear anti-roll bar.... also, would strengthened bushes help on the front ??

Sort of dont know what the hell I am talking about.... help please !!

Why! The Vec isn't going to fly around corners, it's just not built that way. It's a mile muncher. Nuff Said!

Sorry to be so blunt mate, but I think you're just looking for things to mod for mods sake.

Leave it as it is, it's perfect. Trust me!

stiffer anti roll bars are what would do the job, but it'll ride terribly..

strut brace will help, but there are fitment issues on the regal one..couldn't get harry's on without bending the bonnet..

whatever you do to 'firm' the handling will affect the ride quality.. it's a trade-off..

Thanks... just spoke to them and then spoke with Dave at 888, its opened a nice can of worms !!!!!

Apparently, when I had my 888 Eibach springs fitted, it was to a standard SRi with 17" wheels. Which was enough to be OK.

    BUT

Since I've upgraded to 19" wheels the shock absorbers are having to work much harder to cope with bumps (as there is less tyre side wall to absorb the shocks from the road surface). Which is why I'm now rolling around all over the place !!

This means that my standard shock absorbers are not coping with speed or bumps as they are now the weakest link... good bye !!

Therefore, I need to upgrade the standard SRI shocks to performance ones to cope with the 19" wheel set up..... so its been booked in..... sorry AJA, another mod definately needed !!

Jeeze, I'll be a bl00dy expert when I'm finished... and broke

I hope they're giving you a decent discount matey? So will your ride height be any lower?
