Default What exactly does the "green box" do?

What's the difference between the green box and all the other boxes. It's supposed to be the "economy box".Does it work as such? Does it have a different profile to achieve this?

i think you are right DD in that the green box is supposed to be the economy box - but i'm afraid i'm not clued up onto how or why its given this label.

If it only guarantees better fuel consumption, then from an insurance point of view they are worth having.

the fact that they give you more power offsets any benefit of efficiency as you will be flooring it more often!

I sold my "Red" box after i thought i had been done for speeding a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit of a knee jerk reaction and i wish i had kept it. (I often do things like that and regret it afterwards.)
I decided that i was missing the power difference the box gives. Even in normal driving conditions the extra oomph is handy especially for overtaking etc.
I had a look around for a "cheap" replacement as i sold mine for 1/2 what i paid and found THIS Arrived from Germany within 3 days and what a difference it has made. It behaves more like the CR1 i originally had and feels soooo much better that the standard car. I've just got to learn to keep my size 12 off the loud pedal a bit

So for £65 inc P+P it's a bargain. I have no idea what the power output is but it feels bl00dy quick
