Have a look at these, KUMHO KU31 215/50/17 - I'm running them on my Signum and they are fine.

    Here we go again...

    215/50R17
    or
    225/45R17

You can have the speedometer modified on TEC2 but it's not worth it for the small difference

235/45/18 will fit but look a little wide for the rim as its a 7.5j
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Not really any more on price, with standard rated tyres, but it makes sense on XL tyres as the savings are substantial
    However there is more choice

Sadly Good Year keep messing about with their range on 225/45R17 yet have retained the NCT5 on 215/50R17
I had hoped the Assymetric would have been around for a few years, yet it has lasted just two to be replaced by yet another version of this tyre (all three based on the GSD3)

Michelin have jumped on this, dropped the price of their Primacy range to match Good Year

    An 18" tyre on a 17" wheel?

That's expensive, the tyres themselves only cost £95 each
£20 fitting for each tyre is a bit high

However, if they are XL then these tyres cost £105 each
