    Default AFL retrofit

    Hello everybody,

    I get a vectra GTS (SRI) V6 with xenon and I hope to upgrade to bi-xenon with AFL, is it possible ? What I do check before buy units ?

    I was told not too do this by the helpful guys on here
    Its a lot of work, parts required are expensive and there are numerous different sensors required.

    I would just stick with your xenons mate

    But it IS possible. You just need a whole load of kit and someone who knows what they're doing.

    If you're interested to find out more, speak to Andy.l as he has retrofitted it to a car which had standard halogens. He can guide you in the right direction, but it won't be cheap...

    check out the price of the head lights for a start, club trade price for these in uk are £395.24 each and thats for the 2 head lights, then there is any other parts you will need looms ect be looking at over £1000 by the time your done for lights same as yours that turn slightly when turning the wheel, is it worth it

    it's seems similar but... it's not lol

    to start :
    - not plug at same places
    - not same control device (A57 vs A173) : see pictures below
    - not same wiring between headlight and module BUT same wires number

    that's cool :
    - same level sensor
    - same plug
    - same control unit

    below my control device (not write AFL )



    so lot of work

    You would probaly also need a new CIM.. to the the AFL to work (the steering angel sensor).. its probaly not impossible.. but alot of work..

    Yup, a specific CIM is needed for the SAS as Ken said. This will also then need to be programmed in etc...
