    Default 3.0 V6 CDTi DPF and EGR...

    It's well documented that these can be deleted from the 1.9 CDTi, but what about the 3.0? I spoke to MPG who said that the DPF can't be mapped out on the 1.9 (aha...) and neither of them can be done on the 3.0 due to the EGR being an integral part of the inlet manifold.

    Anyone know any different...?

    Are there any facelift 3.0's without a DPF? I know the hatchback 1.9's don't have them, and it's all due to emmisions...

    Answers and thoughts on a postcard please...

    I, too, have been looking into this, no-one seems to know how to code these out on the Denso management system, the EDS maps actually increase the frequency of regens by reducing the requirements for them, i.e. engine speed etc.
    A few people have said they can code out the EGR but others have said it's not possible.
    The issue is that there isn't that many Y/Z30DT's that people want remapping, some places won't even touch them.
    It would be good to know what can be done and what places offer what, some places only increase the fuel pressure while others do it properly and alter injector timings, boost pressure, fuel pressure, etc.
    I know some V6 CDTI's were used by various police forces through-out the UK, it would be good to find out what, if anything was done to these.

    This is the thing mate - I'm not after a remap for the reasons everyone already knows. The risks aren't worth it...

    The EGR and DPF parts though can potentially make it a much better engine...

    I know what you mean regarding the EGR and DPF, I have posted regarding this before. I'd get them coded out in a flash if I could find some-one who could do it properly!
    As in my post above, plod used the V6 CDTI, I wonder what they did to those to increase power and reliability?
    I know there has been numerous posts on here regarding the fuel pump but Diesel Dog ran his V6 CDTI with a box, there is a VX supported Vectra running an Irmscher tuning box owned by a member (sorry can't remember his name) and I wonder how many V6 CDTI's have been mapped/boxed etc with no issues?

    If I remember rightly, all the tuned 3.0's wer pre-facelift - it's not a risk I'd take on mine...

    I know a remapped Z30DT that is running the EDS remap. He took it directly to their base for live mapping. It's currently putting out 220bhp and is running without problems. His current mileage is something around 120kkm. He had the SCV replaced prior to remap though. His is an early Z30DT...

    EGR's aren't really much of a problem on the 3.0CDTi, even less on the Z engine.

    The EDS remap seems to be one of choice and as far as tuning boxes are concerned the Steinbauer one is highly recommended as it doesn't just rely on increasing fuel pressure to increase power.
    If you checkout the company doing the remap then you should be ok.
    Would I do it? If I could get the insurance company and the warranty company to go for it then yes I would.
