    Default After market radio question

If I fit an aftermarket radio to my facelift vectra how do you set the clock as it currently set via the standard head unit or does the RDS set the clock?

When i had an aftermarket radio, i had to remove it, plug up the original and then set the clock. Only takes a few mins to do, and considering its only twice a year not too much hassle either. Or get it changed via Tech2.

I think some of the newer radios on the market have the ability to update the clock via RDS, but no idea which ones.

It all depends what head unit you fit I fitted a kenwood with a kenwood remote steering wheel control harness and I can change the time with it .I also did it with a alpine head unit with alpine harness so if you fit a after Market head unit get the proper harness

I have a JVC KD-G441 so would you have any idea what I would need to keep the clock and steering wheel controls?

I have a clarion unit fitted using connects2 steering wheel interface, this allows you to change the time using the steering wheel controls. Although the downside is the radio only works with the ignition on. instructions here http://www.connects2.co.uk/Instructions/SVX002.PDF
