Bid/Gid without CD30

Hi im thinking about replacing my headunit, maybe for a PC but would i lose my trip/mpg functionality on the BID/GID screen?

No, you will only loose the radio station display

Just gonna hijack for a question obvisouly you need to pair up screens and headunits but I have removed my cd40 for an alpine. I've got an orange screen not the dot matrix one. See if I buy the colour screen is it just a swap over and work situation? Cheers.

Why not just remove your head unit and see what that leaves you on the display
