Did you ever get to the bottom of this?

I have just had my emissions light come on (pic of an engine) while driving. Read codes and have the same one. It means random/multiple cylinder misfire.

I thought with the emissions light on possibly the lambda sensor is playing up and mucking up the mixture? A duff mixture would surely cause a random misfire.

Having said all that the car drives spot on and I have not felt any misfiring! In fact the light has now gone out, I have cleared the fault code and it has not come back. It might come back though...

    confused

    I also have that p1312
    no other codes detected

spark plugs are new, air filter is clean, wires seem to be ok,
petrol is 'Moscow 98' which is closer to european 95, but quality seems to be ok, too

after clearing this fault by BSR PPC it comes out again after 10-15 miles

the thing is that I can't feel anything unusual driving on stock software

but if stage 3 software is set up car starts twitching on about 3-3.5 rpm and misfire is felt very clearly

    any ideas?

one or more of the coils has probably failed and needs to be replaced, i got secondhand coils from Neo to sort mine when it did it.. The DIC is another name for the ION module (sometimes referred to as the 'cassette') which the coil harness connects to on the righthand side of the engine. on the old saab engine this was a known point of failure but is rarely an issue now, you can also buy used modules for this but they are not so common and can be quite expensive...
