    Default DTUK CRD-T Tuning Box

Just have a few questions really as Im thinking about purchasing one for my 2004 SRi 150 6-speed.

Basically the gains stated are 215Bhp & 450Nm Torque.

Obviously this is quite a big power increase - so this is where the questions come in.

I have spoken to DTUK, the only issues they have experienced is with surges.
They have said that the surges have dissappeared when the EGR valve has either been cleaned / replaced along with the turbo pressure sensor.

I have read the guides, and being OK'ish with a toolkit it should be an easy job.

The car has covered 123,000 miles. I have owned it for the past 2,000.
During this time I have replaced the oil for fully synthetic 5w-40 along with the filter and also changed the gearbox oil, thermostat and a few other little bits.
The engine seems strong, no strange noises, smoke..etc gearbox seems fine too.

I am quite dubious about strapping on a box and putting my foot down, but for the sake of just cleaning out a few valves would it be worthwhile?

Andy at DTUK said if I didn't want to look into the valves then a green tuning box would be fine.

Just wondering if anyone else has used one of these CRD-T boxes, and what they think?
Also, how well will these engines / gearboxes cope with the power?

    Thanks!

The gearboxes/dual mass flywheels are the only problem that i'm aware of.
The tuning box will be fine fitted if you are not planting your foot down hard day in,day out,as it would cause problems with any car really.
Egr valve/boost sensor can be cleaned easy enough.
I did find that when i had my dtuk red box on,that if sat with cruise on it would surge very slightly.

Thanks, my dual mass is broken anyway .. doesn't really bother me to be honest, its just a tad clunky.
It had a new clutch fitted 10,000 miles ago, so they have either decided not to replace the DMF, or it has failed within this period.
I do a lot of motorway miles, so wouldn't be going round like Niki Lauda every day - just the occasional blast.
I don't really use cruise control so wouldn't be bothered by the fluctuation.

How did you find fuel economy, did you notice the increase?

I'd say they didn't put one in
I didn't notice any increase apart from the mid displaying more mpg, which was wrong of course
I enjoying putting my foot down and going when i need to over take another slower moving vehicle
