    Default Help with engine codes?

Hi. I recently put a post about having a new exhaust including downpipe fitted by MIJ and since fitting the Emissions light has been on. I cleared the code by disconnecting the battery but within 5 mins it has come back on again.

I have done the pedal test and it has pulled up the codes P0544 and P0546.
Both of these codes refer to Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor but i cant seem to find the sensor. The only sensors i can see is the one at the top of the cat (which i presume is the lambda) and the one after the flex.

The car is a 53 Reg Edition 100. Any help will be greatly appreciated as MOT next week and dont want them to fail it because the light is on.

    Thanks

If it's a diesel then I think the temp sensor is in the pre-cat... did you have the pre-cat replaced as well (turbo back exhaust)??

You should have 3 sensors from what I remember.

The EGT sensor isnt used on the later cars so it was deleted with an ECU update.

Have a look under the car and see if you can see a wire not connected or a blank in the exhaust.

    Quick update.

Have looked and can see sensor bolted to bottom of cat and connected near cam cover next to lambda connector.

Is there any way of bypassing the sensor using a resistor like some people do?

Pretty sure it needs to be mapped out.

I think Vauxhalls latest update maps it out.
