    Default It's finally booked in!

My Car's finally booked in on the 24th to have the Swirl something or other replaced.

Hopefully it will cure the lack of BHP I have.

The torque low down is ok, but after about 2500 rpm it has as much power as a wet f@rt.

I'll find out exactly what they are replacing when I go in.

Swirl valve? Looking at a previous post of Matt's, it's a valve on the swirl pot inside the fuel tank. It is to stop the engine from starving of fuel when the level is low and sloshing about.

    Nope, don't think so.

It's something on the engine I think.

I quickly scanned the report upside down when the service was finished so might have mis read. Didn't have time to wait & enquire as I had to be away quick.

The EM light has shown it's ugly face a couple of times as well. Strangely though it disappeared again without trace.

Don't think that the valve you mentioned would cause this D?

No, wouldn't think a swirl valve would bring up the EML. Only other thing I can think of is swirl chamber - but that (I believe) is a cast part of the cylinder head - didn;t think it was something replaceable.

Anyway, let us know once you find out!

Just wait till I get my twin quad pipes. You won't be able to see me at all then for the magnitude of soot. Or the road, or anything else lol .

I see a car in Walsall regularly with a pipe exactly the same as the Audi badge - 4 interlocking rings. Looks f***ing horrible!

    Maybe not then!

My mate has just had the same part replaced on his Signum. Took them three goes to remedy it. Kept getting limp home and dash signs up. Mind you it was Reg Vardy's so that says it all.

    Will do D.

    Hope they cure it.

Am not impressed with them so far so don't have confidence in them.
