Griffin logo backing colour for Front Facelift V?

Evening all

Im in the process of preparing my front Chrome V (Facelift 06) to be colour coded (Black Sapphire) and wondered if any of you fine members decided to paint the plastic V backing behind the griffin logo a different colour to black and maybe had some pictures to share?

I like the idea of a dark red backing under the griffin badge but what I imagine in my head may look terrible once done so any ideas would be great.

Just finished mine, fitted the new Griffin, used carbon fibre self adh sheet behind the badge to be different

Oh where did you get that badge from?

Got it from Paul_Sri150, can get em off ebay or dealers. its from an insignia (not sure front or rear?) Sanded the back of badge virtually flush as it has a slight dome shape to it, then sanded/cut the grill hole larger until the badge and grill diameters were the same.

Have had to re think on the new Badge. Standard badge 88mm new badge 95mm

I dont have the talent or the nerve to remove 3.5mm off the grille.

Shame as I really like that new badge, ah well
