    Default Hey there!

    Hi All

I have been lurking around on here for a few months now, so thought I better introduce myself...

I am Paul and I am an Alco... opps sorry wron forum

I am Paul and I live in Northern Ireland and have recently bought an 06 2.2 Direct Sri in Black with only 22k on the clock

Seems a good car so far, nor real issues with it apart from the AC not working too well, (dealer is going to recharge it for me).

One point I would query with the Vectra SRi is the spec... it is pretty poor

I was driving an 02 Hyundai Santa Fe which had more toys in it than the SRi... what are those handle things on the rear doors and where is my electric rear window button

I thought the SRI was a reasonable spec, but with missing:
Rear air vents in the centre console
    Rear interior light
    Rear electric windows,
    Rear centre head rest,
    Sunglasses Holder
    Map reading lights
and lights on warning buzzer (the SF just switched your lights off for you)

Apart from that, the car is a bit of a split personality, you can drive it like a nutter or plod around and get 40mpg from it and I do like the seats

Well hope to chat with you all on here, but hopefully not about too many problems

    Paul.

    Hiya Paul and welcome.

I can relate to you as the SRi is a fairly lowly spec grade as you have found, but as a value car it is almost impossible to better. I would look at lots of the How2's to see the add on's and upgrades possible.

    Hey bud
    welcome along
With regards to spec, thats why I always hunt out a really rare spec on my Vauxhalls. retro fitting these bits is not so hard, so why not get hunting for parts, use the HOW2s and bring the car up to your standard!?
    One tip, get xenons!

    Enjoy :-)

i have heard a few people say about no rear interior lights on their sri's but mine has one so am wondering if it was optional. i am thinking of doing a mod to add rear electric windows so if anyone has or knows of someone doin this the info would be much appreciated.

    Thanks guys

I have already installed the sunglasses holder, I missed it alot from the SF and I also installed a Motorola T603 bluetooth kit using the How-To on here only took about and hour with the help and pics provided

I may have a go at the rear interior light, but cutting the head lining does put me off lol
