    Default 3.0 v6 cdti timing belt

    just changed the timing belt on the siggy

    wasnt bad to do until trying to get the belt on and turned the tensioner to give more play on the belt and the locating pin on the tensioner sheared off

    lucky i still had the old tensioner so put it all back together and flinched as i turned the key and ........it fired up straight away

    looks like will have to get yet another tensioner and change that part again , will be able to use the old belt as its brand new

    just got the aux belt and tensioner to do now


    took some pics so will attempt to write a how 2 later

    Did you check the valve clearances too? I have a funny feeling they are due at a similar milage
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Valve clearance check will take you all day. And you'll have to do it twice. Once to check the clearance and then to replace the shims to adjust everything. Good luck mate
